RIVER CROSSING
teamwork |
well done... |
A challenge by choice, whether you it or not...!
Many are challenged to this activity but it is the most exciting and demanding for team physical and mental support in outdoor pursuit.
A various techniques to tackle the river rapids and currents are important for both facilitators and participants to bear in mind to avoid unwanted outcome.
Some are holding their friends' arm and t-shirt to strengthen the formed line which is often loosened by river currents.
In debriefing sessions, most participants conveyed their experiences in smaller team that the activity represents their "Journey of Life" which is sometimes influenced by many things and they are almost fall apart but helped by others.
Most admitted, activity teaches them to support one another and pick them up when they are dragged by river current.
So, are we letting go a friend from being washed away?

Waterfall to be remembered, a challenge . . .
This waterfall is part of the expedition journey to make your day remembered, learn from the natural setting, the faithful waterfall which allows tones of water flows daily for us.....
Wonders of God's creation!
You may also feel perplexed, a participant of a recent October 2011 Leadership Camp reached the waterfall site and asked, "Mr.Uncle Guide, how do you make this waterfall?".
This made the accompanying teacher realized the limitation of her students' knowledge and explained the facts based on geographical studies.
Youngsters nowaday may share the same fate and limitation so it will be worthwhile going to the ground and learn.
The followings materials may offer us to learn something new while doing outdoor activities at Adventure Cultural Village, not a complete truth but it makes us think and ask ourselves, Do we know their age, shapes, test, risk, feel and benefits...????
Stones
Water and river
Soil and mud
Jungle
